Another big weekend for Three Forks Speech, Drama and Debate. They competed against some A and AA schools in a very large, two-day meet at Skyview. Brooke Crowe and Zaida Bertrand finished 7th in Humorous Theater. Jordan Berg finished 7th and Lance Demaray finished 3rd in SPOI. Malia Erikson and Claire Cutler finished 3rd in Policy Debate!! Noah Murphy and Maddie Griffiths were the best Public Forum debate team bringing home 1st place!!! We are so proud of how they performed, especially against these larger schools. They represented Class B and Three Forks very well.

Three Forks Parents, Businesses, & Community Members: Would you like the opportunity to directly determine where your state tax dollars go? Each dollar of your donation to a public school provides a "dollar for dollar" tax credit. This program was initiated by the legislature in 2022 with a cap of $1,000,000 statewide. This cap was reached across the state within minutes of the portal opening. The following year, the cap was increased to $2,000,000 statewide and was also closed within minutes. This year the legislature has increased the limit to $5,000,000 statewide. Once the portal opens on Jan 17th, we expect individual districts to enter donations and reach the cap quickly. If you are interested in designating your state tax dollars to Three Forks Schools, please contact our TFS Business Office @ 406-285-3224 ext 125 before Jan 17th in order to plan for your donation. From Montana Department of Revenue: The Innovative Educational Program Tax Credit is available to taxpayers who donate to Montana public school districts (PSD) for the purpose of providing supplemental funding to the school districts for innovative educational programs (IEC). These tax credits are available to individuals, estates or trusts, corporations, partnerships, and LLCs. The amount of each credit is equal to the amount of the donation, up to $200,000 for each credit. On Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM the Montana Department of Revenue portal will start accepting registrations for preapprovals of "Tax Credits for Qualified Education Contributions". More information may be found at the following website: https://mtrevenue.gov/wp-content/uploads/dlm_uploads/2023/11/QETC-Guide-2024-final.pdf

VIP Coalition is working to put together a snow brigade. The idea is that when it snows the volunteer group will go out into the community and shovel for community members who could use some help. If you or someone you know needs to be on their route, please email a name and in-town street address to Mr. Noyes. tnoyes@threeforks.k12.mt.us
