Three Forks School District

The TF Drama Club is working on their play, The Perfect Ending, set in the 1950s. We are looking for set pieces from that time period. If you have anything 1950s that you would be willing to loan to the play, we would love to hear from you! Specific pieces include: couch, "dad" chair, coat rack, table or floor lamp, end table, dishes and table cloth., living room art, etc. We are also looking for 1950s costume pieces to borrow. This Thursday Three Forks Schools is holding a HAT DAY! Wear a hat, pay a dollar, get a stamp. Funds will go to the Three Forks Senior Center's effort to replace their burnt-out oven. Fun hats are encouraged! The Senior Center is hoping to raise $1000 for a double oven. Help them out by sending your student(s) to school with a hat and $1!

The Three Forks Education Foundation Worthy Student Scholarship is now open and available for the graduating members of the Class of 2024 at threeforkseducationfoundation.org. The Three Forks Education Foundation is an active, volunteer group driven to increase opportunities for both teachers and students. TFEF is always looking for folks to assist in one way or another to further promote their mission. If interested, please reach out!

The MCF Three Forks Memorial Scholarship is proud to again offer funds to students pursuing higher education. Organizers of this scholarship are the same folks who participated in the recent 50th Anniversary of the first state boys basketball championship in February. In an abundance of caution, the Three Forks School District was in temporary lockdown. The lockdown has now been lifted. Due to a regional threat, law enforcement officials were investigating and on the scene at Three Forks Schools. This threat originated as a social media post that involved a threat directed at another district - NOT THREE FORKS. Unfortunately, the message was forwarded from a cell phone that pinged in our school resulting in the district lockdown. The sheriff's office followed up on this, finding that there was no threat to the TFS schools. TFS students are safe and the building is secure. Parents were alerted through our Infinite Campus communication system.

The ProStart cooking portion is underway, 60 minutes from now the FCCLA kids will have a three course meal. Then they will present their restaurant management project.

Three Forks FFA is kicking it into gear and getting ready for the Montana State FFA Convention! Three Forks FFA would like to offer a sincere thank you to Jason with Montana Logging Association for coming out our way to teach our team about timber cruising and measuring tree volume. It is so close to time!! The Three Forks Education Foundation is thrilled to again offer their own scholarship as well assist local businesses in hosting post-secondary education scholarships. The deadline for applying for these scholarships closes April 26, 2024.

Families of those graduates, do you have a 'To Do' list that looks like this floating around your home? Our seniors have some big deadlines approaching, beginning this week. Please reach out, if you have any questions. Remember, Mrs. Oehmcke needs senior pictures, baby pictures and quotes this week. Senior Project hours should be completed and presentations being in April for Mrs. Hayder and Mrs. Wooten. Scholarship due dates vary, but the next several weeks are chock full of them for all continued education (NOT just college) opportunities. Mr. Hessen can assist students in this process.

FFA has also been very busy the past few weeks! In addition to our spring district competitions, we had National FFA Week events ( including a roping contest), a trip to the Broadwater Ag. Appreciation Banquet, and a quick trip to Billings for a horse judging clinic. Three Forks FFA is now practicing hard for the Montana State FFA Convention, where we will compete in: 1. Horse Evaluation 2. Veterinary Science 3. Poultry Evaluation 4. Jr. Creed 5. Forestry 6. Meat Evaluation 7. Floriculture 8. Farm Business Management 9. And Agriculture Sales and Service! Three Forks FFA is accomplishing big things!
