The seniors had an exciting day on their second trip day! They visited the Aquarium, had In-N-Out Burger, went to Top Golf, City Creek Mall, and an escape room!

Mrs. Shelby Allen serves as our elementary librarian. As an alumni herself, she is living proof that, as she puts it, "Once a wolf, always a wolf!"

Hi Three Forks Middle School Guardians!
The Smarter Balanced State Assessments (SBAC) for all 6th-8th graders will be taking place next week starting on April 29th and going through May 2nd. These assessments will be administered by classroom teachers and within the normal flow of the school schedule. A picture of the schedule will be attached. May 2nd will be used mostly as a make-up day for students who might miss one or more of the required assessments. As a school our goal is to test 100 percent of our students. The SBAC assessments are required by the Office of Public Instruction for all public school students grades 3-8. When students are testing on math or ELA, their school work will be replaced on that day with that assessment. There will also be snacks provided for all students before the larger assessments (Monday and Tuesday) and after those assessments. We could use your help in encouraging students to get lots of sleep the night before testing days and to give their best possible effort on each assessment. All students will be required to wait for the other students in their classroom to finish the assessments before they will be allowed to be released, so please remind your student to bring a book to read quietly to themselves or something to draw with. If your student will be gone on any of the testing days, please let the middle school office know, so that we can put them down for a makeup assessment(s). Thank you and please reach out to Mr. Jarvis (jjarvis@threeforks.k12.mt.us) or Mr. Lynch (jlynch@threeforks.k12.mt.us) if you have any questions about this.

The first day of the senior trip was a blast!

Recognizable to many from her years on the sidelines directing our awesome pep band, Mrs. Sue Pitcher moved to the elementary music and art position a few years ago. She shares a sentiment many of us share saying, "This school is home to us."

As a teacher with a young family, Mrs. Tiffany Lynch, one of our 5th grade teachers, appreciates both the childcare and 2YK programs at Three Forks Schools. She also mentions how her decision to teach here was based on the community's values of "hard work, accountability, and respect."

The Three Forks School District will host a School Board Candidate Forum and Informational Levy Discussion in the Gymnasium on Wednesday, April 24th @ 5:30 pm. This is a publicly noticed meeting and all community members are welcome. The meeting will be followed by a Spring Festival Open House with activities, food and fun for all!

After working for 18 years as a youth probation officer, Mr. Ben Kane returned to teaching. He is in his first year in the district as a middle and high school social studies teacher. The students appreciate his kindness in the classroom each day!

Three Forks School would like to invite community members and families to our Spring Carnival. Check out the flyer for more information. Hope to see you there!!

The committee has made its decision! Congratulations to the new 2024 - 2025 Three Forks FFA Officer Team!

This team is going to do great things!

Three Forks FFA is making friends in high places! While at the Montana State Convention, one of our members, Savannah Emens, had the opportunity to meet Montana Governor, Greg Gianforte. Savannah had the opportunity to briefly talk with the governor about her time in FFA, and why agriculture and FFA are so important to youth like her. It is pretty amazing who you can meet and network with through this youth organization!

It's chick days in the agriculture classroom! The vet science students got the opportunity to work with our feathered friends and spend some time looking into chicken health care. The students worked on using proper chicken restraint methods, practiced vital readings, and did a physical examination of all the chicks. Everyone is healthy! Students also did a deep dive into avian diseases that can affect chickens and what all is entailed in being a Poutry Veterinarian Specialist.

Three Forks FFA held officer interviews last night. All of our candidates did a great job interviewing, the future of the Three Forks FFA Chapter is in good hands. The students will learn their new positions today at lunchtime!
We would like to offer a very special thank you to our nominating committee, which consisted of Mr. Steven Fanning (Three Forks Elementary Principal), Calla Donnelly (Senior), Sophie Meskimen (Senior), Emily Evans (FFA Alumni), and Mandy Brandt (FFA Alumni). Thank you for donating your time to help pick the next great leaders of Three Forks FFA!

In his 5th year at Three Forks, Mr. Connor Sullivan teaches 3rd grade. However, his dedication as a coach also makes him well known to most of our middle and high school students. This year the Wolves football team made the state playoffs under his leadership!
