It's chick days in the agriculture classroom! The vet science students got the opportunity to work with our feathered friends and spend some time looking into chicken health care. The students worked on using proper chicken restraint methods, practiced vital readings, and did a physical examination of all the chicks. Everyone is healthy! Students also did a deep dive into avian diseases that can affect chickens and what all is entailed in being a Poutry Veterinarian Specialist.
Three Forks FFA held officer interviews last night. All of our candidates did a great job interviewing, the future of the Three Forks FFA Chapter is in good hands. The students will learn their new positions today at lunchtime!

In his 5th year at Three Forks, Mr. Connor Sullivan teaches 3rd grade. However, his dedication as a coach also makes him well known to most of our middle and high school students. This year the Wolves football team made the state playoffs under his leadership!

The TFS Board approved an updated 3141 policy that addresses the application process for "out of district" student enrollment as outlined by recent Montana legislation. Per this policy, out of district applications for the fall semester 2024-25 school year must be submitted by June 1, 2024. Priority will be given to current students who enroll on or before May 15th. Letters and application forms are being sent to current TFS "out of district" students. Cars, Vaccines, and Chicks! Oh my! Another couple of busy weeks in the Agriculture Classroom. The Middle School Woods classes finished up their custom cars, vet science learned how to properly administer different types of vaccines, and we got some chickens that the classes will be raising for a few weeks. The chickens will then leave to become egg layers for a local community member.
We also had a visit from Colton Noyes, a Montana State University College of Agriculture Ambassador, who came in to talk to a few of the classes about the numerous opportunities that exist for higher education in the MSU College of Agriculture. Thank you Colton for coming to visit and talk to our classes! Go Cats!
As an alumni of Three Forks Schools, Ms. Karysn Houska chose Three Forks as the place to begin her career. Having former students like Ms. Houska return as teachers who serve their community illustrates the strong relationships built at Three Forks Schools.

FAQ: If approved, how would this general fund mill levy affect my taxes?
Answer: The attached flyer provides a great breakdown of the potential cost to tax payers. Tax base values for 2024 will be made available in August 2024. As the tax base increases with time, the burden on individual taxpayers is reduced. The assessed valuation is NOT what you would expect as a resale value.
