National FFA Week is a time to celebrate the history of the organization, and the amazing alumni who served in the organization before us. Today, we would like to recognize Mr. Ed Groves (Sheldon). Mr. Ed Groves is a Three Forks FFA Alumni who was a National Contestant in 1963-64 in the Public Speaking Category. The convention was held in Kansas City, Missouri. He was also the Montana State Champion that year, which qualified him to compete at the National Convention. He was in the FFA class of 1966. We would also like to recognize Mr. Jim Bryson. Jim Bryson is another Three Forks FFA Alumni who went to the National Convention that year. Jim Bryson was president of the Three Forks FFA Chapter and was a delegate to the convention. We are honored to have Mr. Ed Groves and Mr. Jim Bryson as distinguished Three Forks FFA Alumni and celebrate them for National FFA Week!

Good morning! FFA delivered their rose orders this morning to the Elementary, Middle School, and High School. There were lots of orders and we did our best to make sure all orders were correct and accurate, however, there is always a chance we made an error. Parents and guardians, if you hear that your students are missing roses or their orders are wrong in any way, please let us know and we will make it right! Thank you so much and thank you for supporting Three Forks FFA!

I am excited to share that the district just received notice of an award from the Rural Reserve Grant in the amount of $5000. This competitive grant was initiated by staff member, Cathe Felz, with support from the entire CTE Team, Jessica Oehmcke, Ian Schlif, and Tyler Noyes. The grant will help fund the development of an extended classroom and outdoor cooking area adjacent to the family and consumer sciences room. This initiative also includes the incorporation of a greenhouse / garden for cultivating produce to be used in the culinary program. Congratulations & Thank You to our Three Forks CTE Program!

As students start preparing for class registrations in the Middle and High School, remember that we do offer several opportunities for those 'Real World' classes. The bonus? Several of them, as well as a handful of English, Math and Science classes also qualify for AP or Dual Enrollment credit. Chat with your student about some of these offerings.

The gymnasium was full of alumni this evening as the 1974 Class B Boys Championship team from Three Forks was recognized. The 1974 trophy was the first of three state titles the Wolfpack has brought home. While not all members of that team were present, plaques were presented to Mark Vandolah, Jack Dorsey, Gary LeTempt, Scott Laird, Mick Durham and Doug Hamilton. Chuck Harden's sisters, Jeri Crowe and Jeanne Bjorndal, accepted his plaque. Once a Wolf, always a Wolf.
