We are excited to invite your high school student to an unforgettable summer of hands-on science, outdoor adventure, and real-world exploration at the Montana Learning Center at Canyon Ferry Lake! As we celebrate our 41st year of serving Montana’s students and teachers, we remain committed to providing innovative STEM programming that inspires curiosity, fosters leadership, and builds lifelong skills.
At MLC, we go beyond the classroom, offering immersive, adventure-based learning experiences led by experts in their fields. Whether your student is drawn to astronomy, wilderness expeditions, paleontology, or space exploration, our high school camps provide unique opportunities to learn through exploration in some of Montana’s most stunning landscapes.
This summer, we are offering four extraordinary high school camps:
🌊 Missouri Breaks Canoe Adventure (Grades 9-12)
A six-day wilderness journey! Campers paddle 46 miles through the breathtaking White Cliffs of the Missouri River, experiencing history, geology, and ecology firsthand. No prior canoeing experience needed—just an adventurous spirit!

📍 Location: Missouri River, MT

✨ Camp Explore the Universe (Grades 9-12)
A five-day deep dive into astronomical discovery! Campers use advanced telescopes and cameras to capture stunning images of distant galaxies, nebulae, and planets, guided by expert astronomers.

🏕️ Extreme Yellowstone Expedition (Grades 9-12)
A six-day backcountry adventure in the world’s first national park! Campers will explore Yellowstone’s geothermal features, rugged landscapes, and diverse wildlife under expert guidance.

📍 Location: Gardiner, MT (just north of Yellowstone National Park)

🦖 Dinosaur Camp (Grades 9-12)
A six-day adventure into Montana’s prehistoric past! Campers join professional paleontologists at active dig sites in the famous Hell Creek Formation, uncovering real dinosaur fossils and learning about ancient ecosystems.

Three Forks FFA will leave tomorrow to compete at the Montana FFA State Convention in Bozeman. Over the next few days, we will compete in 10 different contests and be judged on our scrapbook, treasurers book, secretary book, and chapter display. Please check Facebook for updates! Attention softball players, parents and fans. I had the date wrong on the schedule on April 2nd @ Anaconda. It is tomorrow April 1st . It is a double header for the varsity at 2:00 and 4:00.

-Kindergarten screening is scheduled for April 11.
-All incoming K students that are not currently attending the TFES 2YK program are encouraged to participate.
-If you have a child that will be 5 years old as of September 10th, 2025, please call the elementary school office to begin the registration process (285-6830).
-Once numbers are reviewed we will contact parents to share the start time for the screening event.
-If you are planning on enrolling a NEW 1-5th grade student for the 25-26 school year please call the office as well to assist with understanding our incoming numbers.

Families and students are invited to the HS Library at 6:00pm for information on Advanced Placement and Dual Credit options.

The fourth quarter is here! Our middle school students finished some very cool projects, and our high school agriculture classes are learning how to give vaccines, physically examine animals, and make floral arrangements! These students are very creative!











Drivers education interest list deadline is Wednesday--3/26 at 6pm. All the class and sign-up information can be found by scanning the QR code.


The boys and girls basketball banquet will be on April 2nd @ 7:00 pm in the cafeteria. The Cheerleaders banquet will be on April 3rd at 7:00 pm.
